Bringing simplicity to meetings

Maier with a Cynap Core Pro, which will soon get a BYOM upgrade

Cynap Videobar, an all-in-one web conferencing system from WolfVision that supports hybrid meetings, was on show at ISE, along with new upgrades to the Cynap presentation and screen sharing systems.

The free firmware upgrade adds bring your own meeting (BYOM) web conferencing to Cynap. “It’s really straightforward, it’s an easy workflow – users don’t need a lot of clicks to start a meeting,” explained Patrick Maier, WolfVision head of marketing.

“Only the host needs to install an app to set it up, the rest don’t need anything and can wirelessly connect to the box.”

The firmware applies to four of the five Cynap systems – all of which have a new remote management tool.

There is also a new Dual Screen Content Management feature for Cynap Pro, which has three HDMI outputs allowing two screens to be used for a presentation, and the third for preview. A user can drag and drop content, such as an interactive whiteboard or web conference video to the appropriate screen. It supports Airplay, Chromecast and Miracast, without the need for an app, and can have up to eight different connections for audience participation.

The Cynap Videobar combines WolfVision’s wireless presentation and BYOM web conferencing technology, with a high-quality camera, built-in speakers from Fohhn, and a microphone array, to offer a single, high-performance, all-in-one, multifunctional AV system. It will be available later this year.
