ISE 2011 exceeds all expectations

As had been widely expected, the 2011 edition of ISE made history with a record-breaking confirmed visitor total of 34,870, further reinforcing the event's centrality to the modern pro-AV industry.

Positivity and new products were in abundance at this year’s edition of ISE, which took place at the Amsterdam RAI from 1-3 February.

Now regarded as the largest AV show ever held in Europe, the 2011 edition of Integrated Systems Europe took place at the Amsterdam RAI from 1-3 February. As was widely expected, the show smashed the 34,000 visitor barrier, ultimately registering a grand total of 34,870 – putting it on a par with InfoComm in the US and marking a 22% increase on ISE’s 2010 event.

715 exhibitors – including 150 new companies – exhibited, with 2011 representing an 11% rise on ISE 2010, covering some 26,650 net square metres of floor space.

Mike Blackman, managing director, Integrated Systems Events, commented: “We have had a fantastic three days here in Amsterdam, our show aisles being packed with technology buyers and specifiers from the moment we opened on Tuesday morning to the doors closing at 6pm on Thursday.

“ISE has a distinctive European flavour but it is increasingly a forum for global business. We have had substantial visitor growth from Russia, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent, as well as modest but significant numbers of consultants and top-level integrators coming to us from Asia and North America for the first time.”

Across the three days of ISE 2011, The ISE Daily team reported live from the showfloor to bring print issue and online readers all the news about the latest product introductions and business announcements.
