The second InstallAwards took place on Thursday, with industry professionals from the audio, video and lighting systems integration market gathered in the Bloomsbury Ballroom, central London.
The winners of 13 awards announced and presented on the night, along with two special awards that had been previewed in the lead-up to the event. These were the Grand Prix, going to Harman Professional and the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Mike Blackman, managing director of ISE, to Greg Jeffreys of Paradigm AV.

Supporting the event, Harman Professional was the event sponsor with category sponsorship coming from Bubble & Squeak for the Audience Venues category, Crestron for the Hospitality category and Tech&Learning UK for the Education category. ISE was the Red Carpet sponsor and the AV User Group and the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers were event partners.

Retail, Transport and Public Space
In a change to last year’s event, there was one Team of the Year Award across all the categories, which went to 7thSense Design/Industrial Light and Magic/ITEC Corporation/Wincomn for their teamwork on the Wuhan Movie Park.
This project features a 3D 8K display and 37m x 16.5m screen – as well as live actors, props, stunts and special effects including abseiling and motorbike stuntmen, co-ordinated with content and technology.
Over the course of a year, Industrial Light and Magic worked alongside 7thSense Design to develop a custom web interface for control and fast content reviews. The interface included pre-programmed control interface with immediate access to multiple key points in the content.
