InfoComm opens European HQ

Hunt’s decision to base himself at Hewshott’s Asia-Pacific HQ in Singapore from January 2009 is said to reinforce the importance of the region to the company as it continues to expand.

In the UK, Hewshott’s day-to-day activities will be led by Phil Breitschadel, a Hewshott employee since 2005. Alexander Wittberger, Hewshott’s Asia-Pacific associate, continues to lead the company in Singapore and Hong Kong. There are plans to move to larger premises in both of these territories during 2009.

“This is a strategic move for the company, and I have full confidence in Phil’s capability, level-headed approach and strong work ethic,” said Peter Hunt, Hewshott International’s managing director. “I am delighted to leave the UK office in such capable hands, and am looking forward to the exciting challenges before me in Asia-Pacific, where we will be increasing Hewshott’s presence there with at least one new office in 2009.”

Recent commitments for Hewshott in the Asia-Pacific region include a project at Deutsche Bank’s new HQ at One Raffles Quay, Singapore, which encompassed a number of meeting rooms, client and trading floor facilities, and reception areas. The company has also carried out similar projects for UBS and Soci_t_ G_n_rale, both also located at One Raffles Quay.

A company spokesperson tells II that Hewshott International is “currently working for some very high-profile clients in Hong Kong which will have to remain unnamed until the projects are complete”.
