The competition was conceived to honour the contribution that two well-known, loved and respected engineers, John Roden and Jim Douglas, made to the industry. Both showed tremendous support for DiGiCo in the early days of the company, but are sadly no longer with us.
All the proceeds from the competition will be equally divided between the families of the two men.
Tickets can still be purchased from DiGiCo at www.digico.biz/docs/sd8_raffle/index.shtml or at PLASA on DiGiCo Stand 1-E4 until 1pm on Monday 13 September, with the winner to be announced at 5.15pm on the same day.
Introduced at PLASA 2008 – a year after the SD7 was introduced – the SD8 incorporates Stealth Digital Processing, 37 motorised faders, dedicated and multi-function control knobs, electronic labelling and a 15” TFT LCD backlit display, among other features.
