DesignScreenHD to exhibit at ISE 2011

The development of a patented mechanism has enabled DesignScreenHD to produce what is billed as the only screen in the world to fold behind a picture frame.

The development of a patented mechanism has enabled DesignScreenHD to produce what is billed as the only screen in the world to fold behind a picture frame.

Designed to provide “maximum quality to the discerning mid-range video projector customer”, the screens are fully tensioned when open, thereby ensuring that there are no visible creases. When folded into a triptych, the screens occupy a mere one third of their projection size.

Whilst the residential sector represents the French company’s core market, the screens are also relevant to a variety of commercial applications, including those in corporate and hospitality environments.

Following the formal introduction of DesignScreenHD to the European market at ISE 2010, the company has confirmed that it will participate in ISE 2011, which is due to take place from 1-3 February at the Amsterdam RAI. With a view to its growing European presence, DesignScreenHD has also announced details of a new relationship with WS Spalluto GmbH that will see the latter promote and distribute its products throughout Germany.

“This partnership is the result of negotiations following the unveiling of DesignScreenHD products [at ISE 2010],” a DesignScreenHD spokesperson told IE Residential. “It is an important first step in the opening up of new markets outside France.”

Looking ahead to ISE and 2011 in general, company founder Eric Suteau added: “DesignScreenHD intends to continue its development on the international market throughout 2011. All the major video projector manufacturers have developed their full HD projector offer to cater to the living-room home cinema customer. DesignScreenHD provides an innovative, high quality solution to the screen ‘problem’ for this large customer base.

“Our presence at ISE 2011 in Amsterdam is the opportunity [to] increase awareness and demand for these truly revolutionary projection screens among industry professionals. It is the ideal venue for meeting prospective partners and allowing trade professionals [to] experience our product first-hand.”
