Datavideo brings hand carried studio to ISE

At ISE, Datavideo will be demonstrating the company's HS-550 hand carried studio which is just one of the mobile solutions it is beginning to focus on.

Datavideo’s HS-550 hand carried studio is a compact and portable, single-box video studio. Built around the company’s SE-500 switcher and DN-60 CF card solid-state recorder, it also includes a TFT LCD monitor with strong locking pivot points for multiple viewing angles and a built-in five channel talkback/intercom system.

Connection to video resources is via a quick release pivoting back panel: input connections include Composite Video and Y/C (S-Video), output also includes Component (Y:U:V), which can be connected to a DVD recorder or projector. The DN-60 recorder itself utilises high-capacity DV memory cards providing hours of continuous HD recording, and the whole thing is bundled up in an easy-to-carry aluminium carrying case.

Datavideo says that it is moving increasingly into the realm of providing mobile systems, and also has its HRS-10 and HRS-10HD units on display. These are integrated field recording and monitoring systems built in a study carry case, making them, according to the company, ideal for video assist or on location use with mobile video studios.
