Visual solution company, Datapath, has announced that the company has been named an official AVIXA CTS Renewal Unit (RU) provider. This will allow professionals holding AVIXA’s Certified Technology Specialist credential to earn renewal units towards their certification by completing certain Datapath education programmes. Currently, there are more than 12,000 CTS-certified professionals worldwide.
To obtain approval, RU programmes must feature experienced instructors with clear evidence of qualifications in the session topic. Each class must contain at least one relevant learning objective or industry-related purpose; relate to a specific exam topic area and exam level and conclude with an assessment tool to demonstrate participants have grasped the objectives. These criteria are vigorously reviewed by AVIXA’s Certification Renewal Committee.
Datapath has met these credentials and is expanding its best-in-class education and training offerings with the announcement of a new course, How to Set Up and Troubleshoot a Datapath VSN Controller.
Following accreditation from AVIXA’s CTS renewal committee, course attendees will earn 2.25 renewal units (RU) towards CTS and 2.25 RU points towards CTS-I certification. The Datapath VSN controllers are capable of integrating any type of video and data sources, including video over IP, on any display configuration.
“We’re thrilled that Datapath has developed this course to support the CTS programme,” said David Labuskes CTS, CAE, RCDD, CEO at AVIXA. “The more companies invest in providing education resources, the more the AV industry can elevate itself to higher standards.”
