Crestron is to highlight its DigitalMedia System as part of an extensive showcase at ISE 2010. Integrated Systems Europe 2010 – which will take place at the Amsterdam RAI on 2-4 February – will be the subject of a show/product preview in the December issue of Installation Europe.

With fully active products on the stand, Crestron will show how DigitalMedia operates in both commercial and residential environments. Delegates will have the opportunity to see how the DigitalMedia HDMI switchers cope with displaying different sourced material and managing all the data transmitted on the signals, including HDCP and EDID. In addition to HDMI, DigitalMedia also accepts, manages and distributes all analogue video and audio – including stereo, SPDIF, and 7.1 surround sound – Ethernet, USB, KVM, power, and control over Cat5e or fibre.

Crestron will also show the new Prodigy line of home control products. Prodigy (pictured) is billed as being a simple-to-install, easy-to-use and “exceptionally affordable” solution that does not require any special wiring, programming or expensive custom installation. Prodigy home automation solutions include home theatre, audio distribution, lighting and climate control.

V-Panels – the new line of ultra-slim, low-profile, high-definition touchpanels – will also be showcased at ISE 2010. Only 2in deep, Crestron V-Panels provide VESA mount installation in addition to desktop and flush wall-mount. Offered in 12in (VESA, tilt, wall) and 15in (VESA, tilt, wall) versions, a V-Panel can function as both a touchpanel control interface and flat-panel HD display. A choice of either the Crestron DGE-1 or DGE-2 external graphics engine enable V-Panels to display both HD (HDMI/HDCP) and analogue video (VGA, component, and streaming media from online videos, digital media servers and web cameras). V-Panels can also integrate VoIP communications, embedded PC applications, USB-HID control, onscreen annotation and whole-house control.

Among other items, Crestron will also draw attention to touchpanel products such as the TPMC-4SM, TPS-6X and TPMC-3X.

Crestron UK’s Petra van Meeuwen told IE Residential: “Our business continues to grow internationally, so with its wide reach ISE is a good show for Crestron as we do a lot of business with both new and existing customers. Our DigitalMedia range is set to be a huge success in 2010 and we’ll have many more products that we’ll be showing in Europe for the first time. We’re expecting a lot of interest from systems integrators keen to see how the future of AV technology is shaping up.”
