Martijn van der Woude, vice president of global marketing and business development at Philips Professional Displays, recently took Systems Contractor News (SNC), Installation‘s sister magazine, on a brief tour of the PPDS booth at Integrated Systems Europe 2025.
He highlighted the latest additions to PPDS’ robust display portfolio, discussed some notable new installations, and provided a sneak peek at what we can expect to see from the manufacturer in the coming months.
Van der Woude reaffirmed the PPDS commitment to environmentally thoughtful product design, which in turn helps organisations meet even their most ambitious sustainability goals. “We’re going to a larger size in epaper, so our dedication to sustainability is again showcased at ISE this year,” he said.
“Our QE line is an LCD display product with a 300-nit performance, running at 60 watts at 65in. It is a C-rated product, and this year it also received EPEAT Climate Gold certification. We are dedicated to epaper because of its zero-power performance, making it our most sustainable product.”
In addition to the new PPDS products on display, van der Woude noted the rebranding of the Wave Platform – a remote device management platform – to Philips Wave. “We did this because that cloud solution is now so close and important to our display range,” he explained.
“It covers all the product ranges that we have, from epaper to LED, LCD, and interactive whiteboards, and we were confident in rebranding to Philips Wave. It’s now an essential part of an API-first strategy, so it can easily integrate with our software partners.”

Beyond the booth, the pros at PPDS have been hard at work helping venue decision makers across Europe bring their wildest display dreams to life. According to van der Woude, one recent project involves an urban outdoor LED display located at the beautiful FC Barcelona stadium.
He continued, “Philips is also a founding partner of the Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands. We bring in awesome content, and with AI we make it come to life – both in terms of picture quality and animation. We are very happy to showcase that partnership, and to see that AI actually drives a completely different experience on our displays.”
