BenQ sees interactive flat panel displays sales rocket 76 per cent in 2018

Continued investment in new and upgrading products and boosting staff numbers and support credited with the rise

BenQ UK has announced that it’s experienced a record year of business growth, fuelled by continued investment in product innovation and appointments of specialist members of staff.

The firm revealed it has recorded a 76 per cent growth of its Interactive Flat Panels and 147 per cent growth of its InstaShow Wireless Presentation System.

Throughout 2018, BenQ introduced multiple additions to its product catalogue, including new Mainstream and Premium Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) for the education market. These IFPs are optimised with a flexible user interface, air-quality sensor, smart eye-care solutions and EZWrite software to bring a truly healthy and collaborative learning experience into classrooms.

BenQ has also extended its BlueCore Laser projector range to include ultra-short throw and 4K UHD laser projectors, for true-to-life image quality and installation flexibility.

BenQ also enhanced its X-Sign Digital Signage management platform to enable users to connect up to nine devices on the network. This means users can remotely schedule content distribution for multiple displays using over 100 easy-to-use templates. This year BenQ also integrated InstaQShare into its corporate range of IFPs, enabling simple wireless presentation and collaboration with screen mirroring on Android, iOS, Mac or Windows devices.

“Corporate has been a huge focus for us in 2018, and the team will continue to pursue the sector next year as it’s clear that the UK corporate market will outstrip education in coming years. As a result, we will continue introducing software-agnostic products to suit all installations and meet the evolving needs of our customers” adds Chris Moore, Head of Sales at BenQ UK.

In accord with its expanding product portfolio, BenQ also made a number of new hires to support its growing sales operations, from the end user to sales support. Leading the host of appointments is Chris Goff, who was appointed as product manager and has forged over 20 years working in the AV industry, including RM Education and Epson. The sales team has also expanded with new additions such as Alicia Asquith as Sales Manager, Edward Hopgood as Enterprise Sales Manager, Phil Kellett as Enterprise Sales Manager and Zara Congerton as Internal Sales Executive.

“2018 has been an exciting year of rapid growth for BenQ into new markets, whilst still maintaining our reputation as a leading provider of AV equipment with an expanding product portfolio, staff appointments and unprecedented sales growth” concludes Royce Lye, General Manager at BenQ UK. “We look forward to continuing this momentum into 2019, and seeing our teams, and product lines, go from strength to strength.”
