InfoComm CTS AV guide nears publication

InfoComm is working with McGraw-Hill Professional to develop a resource to help candidates prepare for the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) exam.

InfoComm is working with McGraw-Hill Professional to develop a resource to help candidates prepare for the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) exam. The CTS is the only AV credential accredited by ANSI to the 17024 ISO/IEC Standard.

Expected to be made available in December, The CTS Certified Technology Specialist Exam Guide will cover all exam content outline objectives and contain objective ‘callouts’ at the beginning of each chapter, exam tips, and practice questions with in-depth explanations. Featuring more than 300 photos and illustrations, the 816-page book will come with a CD-ROM containing two practice exams and an e-book.

Randal A Lemke, executive director and CEO of InfoComm International, commented: “McGraw-Hill’s publication of the CTS Certified Technology Specialist Exam Guide marks an important milestone in the continued development of the CTS credential and the audiovisual industry. A major publisher has recognised the importance of the AV industry and InfoComm’s certification by investing in creating the first one-stop resource for preparing for the exam.”

A total of 1,300 people sat the CTS exam during 2009.
