KNX: preparing for the 2012 Award

The association has announced that applications can now be handed in for the KNX Award 2012.

KNX Association International will present the KNX Award at the Light & Building Fair in Frankfurt on 17 April 2012. The six categories are: international, national, publicity, energy efficiency, young, and special; and the deadline for submission is 20 January. The KNX Award rewards worldwide the smartest KNX projects in home and building control, which stand out with regard to innovation and technical progress. Determining factors that might increase the chances of winning are not based on size and volume of the KNX installation, but rather the diversity of the included trades; the flexibility and expandability; the level of complexity of the installation; the user friendliness and user acceptance; the convincing arguments for the client; and the implementation of products from different manufacturers. The prize money in each category of the KNX Award amounts to €1,000. Winners in each category will also receive the coveted KNX trophy, and the jury consists of neutral experts from the KNX world and the KNX Association. If necessary, the KNX Association and the jury may request additional information from the participants to evaluate the projects, and the five top nominees in each category will be informed by email after the end of the jury’s meeting in February. www.knx.org
