It can now be revealed that L-Acoustics systems were deployed on every stage at Nameless Festival, one of Italy’s biggest electronic music events at the Bione sports centre in Lecco, this summer. The 2026 edition featured five stages, more than 100 artists and 90,000 festival-goers, with Calvin Harris, John Summit and FISHER headlining.
Milano Show Rent, an L-Acoustics Certified Provider, supplied and crewed all five systems, with Black Box’s Nico Berna handling stage and coverage design. The main Ploom Stage used 12 K1 and two K2 per side below six K1-SB, with 48 KS28 subwoofers in cardioid configuration groundstacked across the front. The Live stage carried hangs combining four K1-SB and 12 K2 per side with 16 KS28, while the Garnier Fructis Arena used 10 K2 per side with 16 cardioid KS28. The Heineken Stage, where the public could book slots on the consoles, ran a scaled-down Kara II and A15 rig, and Kara II and SB18 handled monitoring on every stage, with LA12X amplified controllers across the site.
The Red Bull Energy Zone, which hosted Defected, Glitterbox and CRUNCH, was built in the round around a 16m circular truss, with six towers carrying both audio and lighting rigs. According to L-Acoustics, it was the first festival stage in Europe to use L-Acoustics DJ. The system, which ran Kara II and A15 with eight KS28 subwoofers, pairs loudspeakers, electronics and software with an iPad or L-Acoustics DJ Controller interface at the booth. It is designed to use machine learning to separate stereo music into stems live, which are routed to a spatial mix engine so that beats, basslines, melodies and vocals can be positioned and moved around the space. The company says it integrates with digital and analogue DJ setups without changes to existing gear or technique.
The audio crew installed all five systems in two days within a 10-day build shared with structure contractor Stageco, and removed them in a single night. Buildings behind the main stage had to be kept out of the coverage pattern, which led to K1 being flown over K1-SB with cardioid subs, while the lack of usable delay tower positions meant the full depth of the audience area had to be covered from the stage. Soundvision files built by system engineer Luigi Vargiolo for three stages gave the eight-strong audio crew and visiting engineers a shared reference.
Angelo Loizzi, production director at Nameless Festival, said: “We wanted to have L-Acoustics on every single stage because our artists and technicians all prefer L-Acoustics. We consistently see L-Acoustics as the first choice on technical riders. Touring technicians are familiar with it and love it for the low end it delivers for electronic music.”
Amaury Froiio, project manager and owner at Milano Show Rent, added: “L-Acoustics DJ has a very low barrier to entry. Even DJs who are unfamiliar with the tech can be trained in almost no time at all. And we were pleased that an overwhelming majority, around 80 per cent, embraced it wholeheartedly.”
