embed signage introduces ‘Climate Positive’ plan

Digital signage software company makes CO2 offset commitments to Ecologi

UK-based digital signage software company embed signage has put in place a ‘Climate Positive’ action plan with immediate effect. The plan will see the company making regular CO2 offset contributions for its workforce and correlating business operations with the planting of trees plus CO2 reductions with Bristol-based environmental organisation Ecologi.

To kick-start the initiative, embed signage has made a contribution to the planting of 7500 trees which will yield approximately 2300 tonnes of CO2 offset during their lifespan. The company has also made an initial contribution to carbon reduction projects yielding an initial 70+ tonnes of carbon reduction, equivalent to approximately 290,000Km driven in a car.

The company’s full action plan commitment includes:

• For every license sold 10 trees will be planted
• For every 5 licenses sold 1 tonne of CO2 will be offset
• For every new approved reseller, 50 trees will be planted and 5 tonnes of CO2 offset
• A monthly contribution for the workforce, with a minimum of 60 trees planted and 4.4
tonnes of CO2 offset

“We know how important preserving and improving our climate, economies and communities around the world is, which is why we’ve spent a long time searching for the perfect partner to help us make a positive contribution to these efforts,” explained Drew Harding, sales & marketing manager for embed signage. “Ecologi’s carbon reduction projects and reforestation programs aligned perfectly with our values and we’re absolutely thrilled with the flexibility we now have to turn our day-to-day operations into positive climate action.”

Colin Thody, director, new business development at embed signage, added: “We are immensely proud that we are contributing towards positive climate change as well as supporting carbon reduction projects that are in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We hope this will also encourage others in our industry to take action.”
