The Norwegian manufacturer is revealing its new F35 AS3D, which it claims is the world’s highest resolution active stereo 3D DLP projector. The F35 AS3D boasts 1,920 x 1,200 pixel resolution at full 120Hz refresh rates, and displays uncompressed 3D with more detail than any projector in its size, price and performance category. projectiondesign claims it creates the best and most lifelike 3D experience available anywhere. Based on the popular F35 wqxga model, the F35 AS3D is suited to a string of applications including scientific visualisation, virtual reality, visitor attractions and training, and simulation; in all cases, the company claims, users will benefit from being able to make quicker and better-informed decisions, saving them time and money. “The F35 wqxga was a stunning technological achievement; now the F35 AS3D version takes this innovation to a new level of image detail,” says Roger Carver, manager of DLP’s front projection business at Texas Instruments. The F35 AS3D features a wide range of high-resolution projection lenses and incorporates projectiondesign’s RealColor colour management suite for on-site calibration. Image quality can be guaranteed over any number of projection channels. The projector offers brightness levels up to 7,500 ANSI lumens, and features a range of configuration options. The manufacturer also claims switching between 2D and 3D is seamless. It also features user-adjustable Smear Reduction Processing, which reduces motion artefacts in high-speed imaging.
