Vivitek launches four new large-venue projectors

Vivitek has added four new models to its D5000 range, suitable for the simultaneous display of videoconferencing, presentations and graphic data.

Vivitek has added four new projectors to the D5000 range, which was introduced in 2012. These large-screen projections are suited to the simultaneous display of videoconferencing, presentations and graphic data such as charts and graphs. They have a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 and brightness ranging from 4,700 to 6,000 ANSI lumens. They also feature DLP BrilliantColor chip technology, which is said to deliver crystal-clear pictures with deep blacks and rich colours.

The new models are the Vivitek D5010 (native XGA resolution), the D5110W (WXGA), the D5380U (WUXGA) and the D5190HD (full HD – pictured).

To assist the installer, the new projectors feature horizontal and vertical lens shift as well as a centered lens for easy installation and maintenance. Additionally, they also come with three interchangeable lens options for flexible positioning with regard to varying screen sizes or projection distance requirements. They are also Crestron RoomView ready.

Multimedia I/O connections include HDMI, VGA-In, DVI-D, Component, S-Video, Audio-In and Audio-Out as well as DisplayPort compatibility. The projectors also feature a built-in 12V trigger for an external wireless module connection, and are network-ready for integration and system administration via RJ-45 and RS232. They are also equipped with two 3W stereo speakers.

The D5000 series needs less than 0.5W of power in standby mode, and lamp life is 3,500 hours of operation.
“We’ve been delighted with the positive feedback we received for our D5000 series of projectors,” said Holger Graeff, general manager EMEA of Vivitek Corporation. “This confirms our belief that the professional installation market is looking for feature-rich, high-performance projectors which are easy to install. Our new Vivitek D5000 series projectors continue to keep going this direction.”

The D5190HD will be available from November; the other three models are released this month. All have a warranty of five years on the projector and one year (or 1,000 hours) on the lamp.
