Vivitek adds to interactive UST projector range

Vivitek has launched the DH759USTi and D756USTi full HD and WXGA resolution UST interactive projectors for classroom applications.

The projectors include HID driver-free recognition for the interactive pens, which also simplifies installation with the driverless installer eliminating driver updates.

The models have also been upgraded from four-finger to 10-finger touch capacity, via the optional sensor. The multi-touch capacity can facilitate touch gesture usage like pinch and zoom, rotation, click and flicking to support a more natural user experience.

The projectors have been designed for installation against walls with just a short space to the screen, in the case of the D759USTi a maximum screen size 100in can be created from just 44cm distance.

Aimed at education institutions, particularly those with limited space, the DH759USTi and D756USTi deliver high brightness, contrast and colour performance to create up to a 110in diagonal image making any finely detailed images clearly readable from the back of the classroom or teaching areas.

The DH759USTi features full HD resolution, 3,500 ANSI lumens and has a lamp life of up to 7,000 hours. It also includes 2x 10W audio power with microphone input, and a host of I/O connectivity options including dual HDMI inputs. The D756USTi offers equal qualities with WXGA resolution, 3,300 ANSI lumens and a 10,000-hour lamp life.

The NovoScreennote Interactive Whiteboard software allows multiple students to work simultaneously on an assignment on the whiteboard and screenshots can be captured and retrieved again. It can also record the user actions performed on the computer for added convenience.

To increase collaboration and interaction even further, the additional NovoPRO wireless collaboration device can be added to engage up to 64 participants at the same time, allowing them to share files and response to voting/polling questions. It also allows up to four students to share content spontaneously on the split screen from their connected devices.

Both projectors also offer connectivity options with dual HDMI ports and RJ-45 for network administration and control (AMX, Crestron, Extron, Telnet compatible).
