Teracue eyevis, which manufactures IPTV and IP video solutions, has announced that its professional streaming solutions are now fully interoperable with the eyevis eyeCON MetaWall 2.0 videowall displays.
The move follows the acquisition of Teracue by eyevis earlier this year.
All Teracue live streaming sources are now fully compatible with eyevis MetaWall displays. These sources include the flagship ENC-300 hardware encoder series for HD-SDI and HDMI/DVI signals (pictured); the DMM Gateway series for DVB/ASI-to-IP conversion including remultiplexing; its IPTV headend; and the MC-SCREEN desktop screen encoder.
Pre-produced AV-files and recorded video content are streamed out by the new Teracue ICUE-PLAYOUT server. ICUE-PLAYOUT supports multi-synchronous streaming output for SD, HD and even for 4K files.
Multiple live and recorded-playout streams can now be shown directly on eyevis’ IP-based EPU-LCD displays: either on individual LCD displays (currently a maximum of eight HD or 16 SD signals) or on a large videowall (one image over multiple displays) when combining numerous LCDs together as a MetaWall. Each eyevis EPU-LCD display performs its own IP video stream processing and high-performance decoding with its integrated eyeProcessing unit (EPU) .
The eyeCON MetaWall 2.0 allows the creation of large, ‘unlimited’ IP-based videowalls by grouping smart LCD displays together, while eliminating the need for large and central videowall controller units, reducing extensive DVI cabling and limited HDBaseT extension.
“A power plug and an IP-cable is all you need to drive the eyevis LCD displays or LED video walls now,” said Wolfgang Schmiegelt, CEO of Teracue eyevis. He added: “Yet the real benefit of standard IP-based in-house signal distribution is the fact that you can extend the video and IPTV system to any location and into any video application on the network. The same signals that are used on the videowall can be accessed on standard office desktop computers, can be used in digital signage displays, may also be viewed on meeting room TVs, and can be presented in conference rooms for large scale projection – all at the same time.”
Teracue and eyevis will be presenting these solutions at IBC 2014 on stand 9.B24.
