Tempest to launch G4 projector enclosures at InfoComm

Tempest has announced its G4 projector enclosure range will be unveiled at InfoComm 2016 next month. The fourth generation line includes Blizzard, Whispr, Typhoon, Cyclone and Tacit product families for harsh outdoor environments as well as quiet indoor spaces.

“The G4 range highlights why we lead the way in projector enclosure technology,” said Tim Burnham, Tempest’s president. “Through seven years of development, we have constructed thousands of enclosures which have been employed in all climates across the globe, and we’ve learned a huge amount in the process.

“G4 enclosures are the product of that learning experience – a reliable modular solution, developed to replace all our existing enclosure types and deal with every customer application. Whatever the requirement – portrait or landscape, outdoor or indoor, rental or fixed, freezing or hot temperatures, standard or custom enclosure sizes.”

The latest models feature Goldilocks OS technology to prevent overheating and condensation as well as variable speed AC fan control, USB diagnostics and firmware update capabilities, and optional RS485 and Ethernet connectivity.

The Blizzard enclosures (pictured) are now fully stackable, available in three sizes capable of housing projectors between 5K and 15K lumens.

Whispr is an enclosure that provides advanced noise attenuation, making it suitable for quiet indoor environments, such as education spaces. Whispr is also available in 5-7K, 7-10K and 10-15K sizes.

With similar characteristics as Whispr, Tacit is for projectors from 20K-24K with projector-specific models featuring front and rear projector slide access for easy installation and maintenance.

Typhoon G4 is a rental and staging enclosure for outdoor events, tours and shows. Typhon models cover Christie M-Series, Roadster and Boxer projectors as well as Barco HDX and HDF plus Panasonic PT-D21K projectors. Models are stackable and have a number of rigging options for flexible installation as well as optional thermal insulation.

Cyclone G4 outdoor enclosures are also projector-specific, with models available for all business and cinema projectors up to 45K lumens. It also now offers salt fog filtering as standard, with optional features including Ethernet connectivity and remote monitoring.
