Klvr brings rechargeable pro audio battery system to US

Oslo-based company's Charger Pro unit holds 48 AA/AAA batteries in a 19in rack-mounted form factor, and is aimed at live events, houses of worship and corporate venues

Klvr has launched its professional rechargeable battery system in the United States, targeting live entertainment and pro AV markets where single-use battery costs and waste are, the company says, a persistent problem.

The Klvr Charger Pro is a lightweight, 19in rack-mounted charger with capacity for 48 AA and AAA batteries, designed to work across wireless microphones, in-ear monitoring systems and other devices compatible with standard battery formats. The company’s custom 1.5V Li-Ion batteries are rated for 1,200 charging cycles and claim 30 percent higher runtime than standard consumer rechargeables. Klvr says one pack of 48 batteries used to full lifetime capacity can eliminate up to 57,600 single-use batteries over more than three years of daily use.

Stian Sagholen, CEO and founder of Klvr, said: “Houses of worship, concert halls and corporate venues rely on wireless mics and other devices every day, but using thousands of disposable batteries to keep them powered is expensive, unreliable and a constant headache. Our customers in the US and globally are cutting costs, lowering their environmental footprint, and delivering flawless shows with Klvr rechargeables.”

The system includes a Klvr Control software interface, which the company says provides visibility into battery levels and recharge times from a connected laptop. A 48-battery capacity Klvr Pouch is also included for transport and touring use.

Knut Fredrik Valsgård, technical advisor at OKS Romerikskirken a house of worship in Oslo, added: “The Klvr system gives us confidence that we’re always putting in fully charged batteries that will last through both soundcheck and the full service. We’re saving over 2,000 batteries from landfill every single year.”

The US launch is supported by distribution partners including MBH Solutions, The Penn Group and YAP Technologies. Previous deployments include Norwegian state broadcaster NRK, Greek broadcaster Alpha TV and UK audio rental specialist Handheld Audio.

Klvr will exhibit at InfoComm 2026 at booth N6311, running June 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Charger Pro is available to order via the company’s website.
