European cinema chain CinemaxX AG is to equip a total of 60 screens throughout Germany and Denmark with Meyer Sound EXP cinema loudspeaker systems.
The largest audio upgrade programme in CinemaxX history got underway in 2010 with screens in Hamburg and Copenhagen, and is due to reach completion by 2013.
The self-powered EXP cinema systems encompass Acheron screen channel loudspeakers, coupled with Acheron LF low frequency screen channel loudspeakers. Also included are X-800C cinema subwoofers and HMS-10 surround loudspeakers, with digital optimisation by the Galileo loudspeaker management system.

Systems integrator and installer for the entire programme is Düsseldorf-based Film Ton Technik Hannsdieter Rüttgers GmbH (FTT).
