Sharp previews new digital signage displays

Shown at InfoComm, the PN-Y series displays, which contain inbuilt media players, are scheduled for launch in the autumn.

Among the selection of new commercial displays previewed by Sharp at InfoComm 2014 was the PN-Y series, a new value series of sleek edge-lit LCD monitors, due to launch in Europe this autumn. Available in four sizes, up to 55in and with in-built USB video playback, PN-Y monitors are said to be ideal for digital signage in both public and commercial spaces.

The PN-Y series is available in 55in (PN-Y555), 47in (PN-Y472), 42in (PN-Y422) and 32in (PN-Y325) and includes a full range of PC and other video connections. The in-built USB media player allows easy playback of video in all main file formats, without having to link the monitors to a PC. Keeping all the focus on the content, the PN-Y series is stylishly designed with a slim bezel and content is displayed beautifully in both landscape and portrait installations.

More information about the PN-Y Series will be made available closer to the European launch date.
