Samsung to launch UHD signage with Quantum Dot QLED technology

The first Quantum Dot QLED technology-powered and high dynamic range (HDR) supported Smart UHD displays are being introduced at ISE 2017.

In a move that Samsung claims has ‘changed the game for customer engagement’, the new QLED Signage displays can showcase one billion colours with greater accuracy. As a result, viewers can experience more detailed content presentation delivered with deeper blacks, sharper whites and precise colour hues, according to the company.

The HDR-compatible quantum dot displays further balance light and dark brightness and preserve gradation to offer improved depth and realism compared with standard dynamic range (SDR) alternatives.

The QLED Signage additionally generates an ultra-wide viewing angle in both portrait and landscape orientations. Featuring a balance of performance and energy efficiency, each display is designed for long-term usage.

Samsung says this flexibility and expanded range expand content visibility, and enable businesses to communicate with wider-ranging audiences than previously possible.

Stand: 4-S100
