Exertis goes Mobile to take AVoRV on the road

Exertis Mobile Living will focus on the evolving motorhome market where the demand for communications and entertainment technology installations is growing

Interesting news from Exertis overnight as it announced the launch of a new specialist division catering for the RV (recreational vehicle) industry. Exertis Mobile Living will devote itself to the changing needs of the motorhome market, pointing to the way in which smart appliances and entertainment systems are now an expected inclusion for today’s RV owners.

“Today’s RV is increasingly a compact and mobile version of the modern living environment,” explained Exertis president and CEO Kevin Kelly. “RV owners expect to have access to the same smart appliances and entertainment technologies they enjoy in their traditional home.”

The release went on to say that Exertis Mobile Living is the exclusive North American distributor of Furrion, a provider of products and solutions for the consumer, specialty vehicle and marine markets.

“This evolving RV market requires a range of products, networked solutions, after-market training and service support never before needed,” Kelly continued, before pointing to the uptick in motorhome usage and ownership due to the conditions brought on by the global pandemic.

“A record number of first time RV buyers have entered the market because of Covid-19 and this is going to fundamentally change the nature and size of the market,” he said. “We believe the market will become less a market of traditional campers and more a market of mobile modern consumers who very much expect to be able to enjoy the latest in technologies across all lifestyle product categories.”

It’s certainly an extension to the residential AV market, but one you’d think will see some degree of tech evolution as motorhomes become smarter in the same way that cars have developed with communications and entertainment systems. And if you are interested in jumping on the smart motorhome bandwagon, we have the perfect brand for you at Future over at Practical Motorhome.
