The Fire Lake Grill House and Cocktail Bar in Leeds has been refurbished to include a new Bose sound system designed by Reflex Systems. The restaurant is owned by global hotel chain Radisson Blu and situated on the Headrow in the centre or Leeds.
Reflex was tasked with providing an audio solution that would complement the venue by providing a relaxed daytime atmosphere as well as a livelier environment for evenings and weekends. It was also important that the system was easy to use and required minimal management and the speakers needed to blend in with décor of the restaurant and bar.
Reflex chose Bose RoomMatch Utility speakers to enhance the ambience of the space and produce high-performance sound. A Bose ControlSpace centrally controlled system was also specified, as it can be pre-programmed to schedule diverse musical outputs at specific times. The final component of the solution is the Bose FreeSpace flushmount ceiling speakers, which deliver ambient background music in surrounding public areas.
The incorporated ControlSpace digital signal processing and room controls make the Bose solutions well suited to the changing requirements of the Fire Lake Grill House and Cocktail Bar. As was specified in the project brief, many of the system’s functions can be programmed automatically, which means there is no need for extensive training for staff.
According to the manager of the Fire Lake Grill House, the system is perfectly suited to the venue. “We relied totally on Reflex to provide us with a system that would meet our needs, and they delivered. We now have a system that we can almost forget about, as it is scheduled to deliver what we need when we need it, but it is also extremely easy to make a small alteration if we have a special function. The speakers look and sound great without being visually or audibly intrusive, we now have a lovely atmosphere.”
