Queens Hall shows new talent with JBL VRX line arrays

JBL VRX compact line arrays have been installed at live music venue Queens Hall. The Nuneaton, UK venue required a new PA solution as a replacement for its existing in-house system.

Live music venue Queens Hall, Nuneaton (UK), has had its PA system upgraded with a new JBL VRX compact line array.

The performance venue, which showcases new talent and classic acts including rock, punk, metal and tribute bands from the UK and abroad, required a new system to replace its in-house PA.

Redditch-based SSE Audio installed the new system at the 300-capacity venue. Sales manager Richard Watt described how the company constructed a clever rigging solution that clamped directly onto the steel girders within the roof to fly the new system.

The SSE team installed six JBL VRX928LA Constant curvature arrays flown in two sets of three. These are supported by two JBL SRX828 Subs for bass. The system is managed by a DBX DriveRack PA+, while power arrives through two Camco Vortex 6 amplifiers supplemented by one Lab.gruppen FP 7000 Power Amplifier.
