Pyramid Computer launched the new polytouch 55 4K at a demonstration last week at FLUX LDN.

Pyramid Computer launched the new polytouch 55 4K at a demonstration last week at FLUX LDN. The latest member of the polytouch product line, the 55 4K is designed for a variety of industries and applications, with uses such as information terminals, for product presentations, interactive signage, infotainment terminals or wayfinding applications. As the name implies, it features a UHD (3840 x 2160) display, and is equipped with high-end touch technology that ensures maximum touch accuracy.

The polytouch 55 4K can either be supplied with integrated modular panel PC or as a standalone multitouch display.

polytouch 55 4K is available with a choice of two different touch technologies: PCAP (projective capacitance) or InGlass optical technology. The latter uses optical measurement to distinguish between soft touches and hard presses, making the product customisable for best user experience. These high-end touch technologies afford a high level of touch precision: parallax errors are minimised because touches are detected within the glass rather than above it. It can register 10 points of touch, and has a latency of less than 15ms.

A variety of mounting options is available, including wall mounting and mounting inside tables and walls. A broad set of service and upgrade options are available.

The integrated panel PC is equipped with the latest-generation Intel Core i7-6700T processor, 8GB DDR PC1600 memory and mSATA SSD 4 128GB drives. The system is compatible with Windows 10 (32/64 bit), Windows 8 (32/64 bit) and Linux.
