Core Brands is to showcase the latest innovations in the Furman line of power management products at Prolight + Sound, 12-15 March. Exhibiting with Trius Vertrieb in Hall 8, Stand C40, Furman will display the new F1500-UPS E, PS-8R E III and an array of the company’s 230V rackmountable Pro products.
The F1500-UPS E uninterruptible power supply (pictured) is Furman’s first BlueBOLT-compatible 220-240V product. The battery back-up and power conditioning device provides 1500VA of true sine-wave battery back-up to prevent data loss and allow the orderly shutdown of connected equipment in the event of a power outage. Featuring Furman’s advanced non-sacrificial SMP surge/spike protection circuit, Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) and Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), the F1500-UPS E provides professional-level protection, filtration and back-up, combined with features engineered specifically for the needs of AV systems. Rackmount ears are included. The unit may be controlled remotely via RS-232, or via TCP/IP with the addition of the BlueBOLT-CV1 network interface card (sold separately).
When the BlueBOLT-CV1 card is used, the unit may be addressed with serial commands via TCP/IP protocol or may use BlueBOLT — Panamax/Furman’s Cloud-based power, network and energy management platform. With BlueBOLT, outlet banks may be turned on, off or rebooted in real time or on a schedule; energy consumption may be tracked; power and energy alerts can notify an installer or end user of a condition at the install site; devices on the network can be pinged and rebooted automatically; and much more.
The PS-8R E III power conditioner and sequencer provides power protection, filtering and sequencing for audio systems in 220V-240V regions. An update to the Series II model, the PS-8R E III features easier rear-panel access to sequencing settings as well as a shorter chassis depth for more flexible cord management. Like the F1500 UPS E, the PS-8R E III includes Furman’s signature SMP, EVS and LiFT technologies for optimal power conditioning and protection.
