PL+S 2016: JBL by Harman unveils new PA systems

JBL Professional by Harman is introducing a suite of new products this week at Prolight + Sound including the EON208P portable PA system and EON ONE linear array PA system.

The EON208P system follows on from the EON206P and is designed for applications such as clubs, schools, meetings and houses of worship. It features Bluetooth streaming, 8in speakers and an integrated eight-channel mixer.

The two loudspeakers, housed in versatile enclosures, can be ground stacked or pole mounted and each features an 8in woofer and 1in neodynamium black nylon dome tweeter powered by a 320W power amp section.

Also debuting at Prolight + Sound is the EON ONE linear array PA system, which includes a six-channel mixer and Bluetooth audio in a column-style design.

Its compact form makes the EON ONE suitable for gyms, cafés and corporate environments. Additionally, its maximum SPL of 118dB and unobstructed 10in bass-reflex subwoofer provide distortion-free audio.

JBL’s Directivity Control Geometry delivers even coverage optimising the spacing and angles of the six 2in high-frequency drivers.

“The EON ONE provides a sleek, highly portable solution without compromise,” said Craig Lambrecht, retail & recording solutions, Harman Professional Solutions. “The EON ONE was created by the same engineers behind the breakthrough technologies found in our flagship loudspeakers and reference monitors. We’re excited to bring world-class JBL sound quality to even more musicians and venues through this new form factor.”
