PLASA 2016: d&b to demo NoizCalc software

d&b audiotechnik will have a strong presence at this year’s PLASA show in London (18-20 September) with newly appointed sales partners SFL Group and SSE/Wigwam exhibiting a number of solutions.

SFL Group, on stand V60, will feature products from the d&b portfolio including the DS10 Audio network bridge. SSE/Wigwam (stand J20) will be providing hands on introductions to d&b NoizCalc, the far field noise immission modelling software and the new QSC plug-in Q-SYS.

Elsewhere at PLASA, d&b GB will be part of a number of new attractions this year, with the DS10 the focal point during the Dante event on Tuesday 20 September from 10:00.

d&b’s Oran Burns will present seminars on ‘Democracy for Listeners, the next level’, taking place on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 September at 15:15. The session will look at how recent advancements in line array technology allow us to achieve unparalleled tonal balance and even coverage throughout the audience area. System design, tuning and optimisation are all now available in one d&b workflow.

“We’re joining forces with our sales partners this year,” said Gianni Abruzzese, d&b GB commercial manager, “so we’re looking forward to offering the sum of our combined experience. We’re also very happy to see NoizCalc in the running for an Innovation Award; its potential for the long-term future of live open air events cannot be overestimated. In terms of improving transparency and communication, between audio providers and organisers, it’s key to keeping our partygoers and local neighbours equally in mind.”
