Phoenix schools go green with Casio projectors

Classroom AV specialist ImmediaEdu has installed a total of 1,480 Casio Signature XJ-M250 projectors for the Phoenix Union High School District.

Classroom AV specialist ImmediaEdu has installed a total of 1,480 Casio Signature XJ-M250 projectors for the Phoenix Union High School District. The XJ-M250 projectors were installed across all of district’s installed campuses, which accounts for 16 schools with more than 27,000 students and nearly 3,000 employees.

The new solutions come as part of the governing body’s plans to replace inefficient, existing classroom projectors with bulbless, green solutions. The district specified that the new solutions needed to incorporate high quality, low maintenance projectors for ongoing classroom use.

The Casio’s Signature XJ-M250 projectors are LampFree and run on Casio’s state-of-the-art Laser & LED Hybrid Light Source, lowering maintenance costs and completely eliminating the need for lamp changes.

“Only a few manufacturers offered lamp-free LED projectors when we started the Phoenix Union project, but Casio offered the most powerful LampFree light engine for the price range,” said Alexis Cruz-Christensen, vice president, educational partnerships at ImmediaEdu. “Additionally, with a large zoom range, Casio’s LampFree projectors allowed us to replace a variety of existing projectors with different throw ranges without having to move existing ceiling mounts making the transition easier for all parties involved.”
