Peavey Commercial Audio is to reintroduce UK-held stock a year after closing its UK warehouse for a more centralised structure from the US and China.
However, with recent distributor agreements expanding Peavey’s presence across Europe, the company has announced it is bringing back a UK-based stock holding of the Crest Audio and Peavey Professional lines, available from mid July.
Peavey is partnering with AV logistics firm Velta, operating from its bonded warehouse facility in Witham, Essex.
James Kennedy, operations manager for Peavey Commercial Audio EMEA, said: “We are very happy to announce this new development in our logistics. We’ve seen growth across our portfolio and the interest in new products from Crest Audio is particularly encouraging.
“With some excellent new distributor agreements already made this year, including Neotecnica in Spain, Holland PA across Benelux and Visono in Sweden, we want to be able to serve these areas as conveniently as possible and our new UK-based stock will ensure we do just that.
“Following a couple of years of intense product development, there are many new lines coming onto the market later this year from Peavey. We have a long standing relationship with Velta, from our past operation, and we are all looking forward to an exciting future.”
Doug Reynolds, MD at Velta, said: “We have developed a strong relationship with Peavey over the years and we are delighted to be providing UK and European logistics solutions for Peavey Commercial Audio. Velta effectively handle and manage supply chain solutions for many companies in the industry, and the decision for Peavey to place their latest operations with us is a testament to the experience that we have in working with the AV industry. The Velta Customs Compliance team have put together a tailored solution for streamlining the import clearance process and reducing related costs, making us the stand out choice for Peavey Commercial Audio.”
