Panasonic divides Displays and Projectors business units

Panasonic PPDE has been disbanded as Panasonic Marketing Europe realigns its pro-AV business units to complement the company's corporate structure in Japan.

Panasonic PPDE has been disbanded as Panasonic Marketing Europe realigns its pro-AV business units to complement the company’s corporate structure in Japan. Projectors have been brought into the AV Systems Europe (AVSE) brand to be aligned with Panasonic’s broadcast business, while pro-plasma now exists as a separate business unit under the PVDE (Professional Visual Displays Europe) brand.

The newly established AVSE business unit will be led by Jerome Berrard, previously head of the company’s PPDE (Professional Projectors and Displays Europe) division, who will assume the role of director. Christian Sokcevic becomes general manager for sales & marketing for this division. Masaki Arizono (pictured), director of the new professional AV business units (PAVCSE), will be responsible for PVDE. His management team will include general marketing manager David Martin and sales general manager Neil Colquhoun.

“These new business divisions have been created to reflect Panasonic’s continued commitment to providing its loyal customers with dedicated sales, engineering and service resources,” commented Arizono.
