New from Optoma’s range of ProScene projectors for the professional installation market is the EH505, which features WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) resolution and produces 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness using DLP technology. It has three interchangeable lens options (standard, long-throw and fixed-zoom short-throw) and offers extensive lens shift (+70º, -20º vertical and +/-10º horizontal) – even with the short-throw, off-axis lens option, which is a feature said to be unique to its class.

The EH505 includes full 3D support (via HDMI 1.4) for various devices such as PC, Blu-ray 3D, Sony PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360 or 3D TV broadcast systems. It also has a native DisplayPort connection.

Using the wired remote functionality, all aspects of the projector can be individually controlled without requiring line-of-sight.

Multiple EH505 projectors can be monitored over LAN and can also provide the user with email message alerts if an error occurs or a lamp needs to be replaced, using Crestron Roomview. As well as a web browser interface, other networking capability includes full support for Telnet, Extron’s IP Link, AMX dynamic device discovery and PJ-Link protocols.

Maintenance requirements are minimal, as the EH505 has no user serviceable internal parts and no filters that require regular cleaning or replacement.

The ProScene EH505 projector will be available from selected dealers from the beginning of August.
