Nexo is unveiling a new series of super-compact loudspeaker cabinets this week at Prolight + Sound for installation, touring and AV applications.
The ID Series of loudspeaker cabinets are super-compact and low profile, to enable their use in awkward and acoustically challenging spaces. Using a variety of mounting options, the ID24 compact cabinet can fit in a number of environments and has the ability to offer high SPL output with variable directivity enabling it to beam sound into difficult spaces.
The series combines performance with versatility making it suitable for a variety of install and touring applications. It features three products, the ID24 full-range compact speaker, and two low-profile subwoofers – the ID S110 and ID S210.
The ID24 comes in three versions, the ID24i for installation, ID24t for touring and AV applications, and ID24c, which allows the customer to custom-configure the speaker to match precise requirements. They can all be mounted vertically or horizontally and have a unique user-adjustable horn, which can be rotated easily by a switch on the rear panel to give 60 or 120-degree HF coverage allowing the HF to be tuned for the given application.
The ID24i, for fixed installations has threaded holes for compatibility with Nexo and popular third-party mounting hardware and has an all-weather IP55 rating. the ID24t has a touring spec, featuring Speakon connectors and quick release rigging points for easy mounting horizontally or vertically.
Lastly, the ID24c offers greater customisation with four directivity options, all of which are reversible by rotating the horn. It also has Speakon or captive cable connectivity options and steel, fabric or foam grille choices.
