Creative Technology Germany has made use of an 80 square metre LED screen at the world premiere of the new Audi A7 Sportback which took place in the art museum Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.
The highlight was the visualisation on the 80 square meter sized brilliant LED screen, with a radius of 10 metres covering 210 degrees of a circle. In all, 368 Barco NX-4 LED modules were implemented into a customised structure, with the 4mm LED screen securing fascinating high-resolution pictures.
The content on the LED was achieved in HD quality via four Pronto HD servers from DVS. For the broadcast technology the CT team used the Kahuna HD broadcast mixer and eight professional HD cameras provided signals for the HD satellite uplink and for the live streaming for the Audi web TV.
Professional audio equipment came from Meyer Sound, together with two new DiGiCo SD8 live audio mixing consoles with Stealth Digital Processing as central element of the audio system.
Built in 1918, originally as a concert hall, Konsertpaléet screen 1 (KP1) is the premier cinema auditorium in Bergen, Norway and attracts cinephiles from across Scandinavia to enjoy its quality surroundings and sound and vision facilities. Recently it underwent a major refurbishment programme to become a true reference class cinema, with owning company Bergen Kino keen to provide filmgoers with a cinema experience that was in a league of its own.
Alongside contractors providing new seating, lighting and improved interior design, Bergen Kino contracted Unique Cinema Systems to install Alcons’ latest, cutting-edge C series system, designed for superior (digital) cinema sound reproduction.
The system comprises five. CR5 front of house pro-ribbon screen systems, designed for auditoriums of 500 seats and upwards, 20 Cinema Ribbon Monitor System (CRMS) surround speakers and four. BF362 double 18” subwoofers.
The first true cinema system that utilises line-source technology throughout, the CR5 provides non-compressed reproduction and extended dynamic range and optimal acoustic coupling efficiency. As the first installation of the CR5 system, UCS was confident that the Alcons technology would provide audio quality unsurpassed by any other system designed for large auditoria.
Chauvet supplied 12 Colorado fixtures to illuminate the backdrop of the runway for SwimShow 2011, the world’s largest swimwear trade show, held in July at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in the heart of trendy South Beach.
Colorado LED wash lights feature RGB colour mixing, providing a variety of colours during the fashion show. As the models strutted the runway, the lights and music changed to project different moods. After each particular segment, the room would become dark and the next colour scheme would appear. The event began with a single uplighting of colour, but as the show progressed, the lighting became brighter and exciting, using a mixture of red, orange, yellow, blue and purple.
The Runnymede Hotel has chose Onelan digital signage to communicate information to guests effectively. 50” screens in the reception areas around the hotel show live TV and advertisements relating to activities within the hotel eg availability of last minute space in the hotel’s beauty salon. Both are changed on a regular basis and eventually the aim is also to show videos of what’s on in the hotel. The digital signage also displays a RSS ticker feed showing up to date travel information and conditions around Heathrow and major road networks.
In addition to the large screens in the reception areas, there are small 10” screens outside each meeting room. These are updated for each new client using the rooms to show company information and videos. There is also a 63” screen for special events such as weddings.
