New HDBaseT amplifier from CYP

New from CYP is the AU-A300-HBT, a compact 2-channel 30W amplifier with integrated HDBaseT digital receiver for high-quality, multi-zone audio distribution over standard Ethernet cable. The rackmount unit is suitable for integration into remote AV zones in both commercial and residential environments. The unit features direct inputs for HDMI, RCA, Toslink and stereo mini jack, allowing AV source inputs including MP3, iPod and iPad, and audio outputs from a television.

In the UK, the AU-A300-HBT is available from distributor CIE-Group.

The product is compatible with CYP’s comprehensive range of HDBaseT matrix devices. It can receive HDMI inputs and remote HDBaseT sources from the CYP Matrix or HDBaseT Transmitter, to allow high-quality audio signals to be transmitted up to 100m using standard Cat5e/6/7 Ethernet cable. The amplifier also incorporates an additional HDBaseT output, to allow for additional HDBaseT zones, or to repeat the signal to further HDBaseT 2-channel amplifiers or digital AV receivers. Control of the AU-A300-HBT is either from the front panel LCD display, IR remote control or remotely using RS-232 or web GUI/Telnet.

Other features include HDMI audio embedding; support for digital-to-analogue (DAC) and analogue-to-digital (ADC) conversion; and support for power over Ethernet for connected compatible HDBaseT receivers.

“CYP is focused on developing products that make the challenges of audio/visual connectivity and compatibility a thing of the past,” said Chris Edwards, marketing director of CIE-Group. “With a growing range of amplifiers, digital to analogue converters, HDMI audio management and audio over IP solutions, the company offers the integrator a ‘go-to’ solution for audio distribution. The AU-A300-HBT is a high performance, flexible and cost-effective amplifier, which makes use of the HDBaseT protocol, for new found levels of versatility in multi-room audio systems.”
