New releases of the Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Controller are being launched at ISE 2015.

New releases of the Dante Virtual Soundcard and Dante Controller are being launched at ISE 2015.

Both releases support the latest Mac OS X10.10 Yosemite and Windows 8 operating systems. Dante Virtual Soundcard also runs on Windows Server versions 2012 and 2008, enabling wider use in traditional IT environments.

Dante Virtual Soundcard is an easy-to-use software application that turns your Windows PC, Windows Server, or Mac OS X computer into a Dante-enabled device, allowing users to instantly connect to any Dante network.

No special hardware is required as Virtual Soundcard uses the computer’s Ethernet port to send or receive audio from Dante-enabled devices on the network.

The Dante Virtual Soundcard Release 3.7 features include an improved user interface and wide support for sample rates for ASI and Core Audio, Window Driver Model and tuned, dedicated computers. Virtual Soundcard 3.7 also supports 16-bit, 24-bit and 32-bit depth audio formats. Upgrade to Release 3.7 is free for current license holders.

In addition, Dante Virtual Soundcard will report latency stats, late packet stats and signal presence indicators via the latest release of Dante Controller, Release 3.5.6, providing end-users with useful health and monitoring information of the network status.

Dante Controller is Audinate’s free software application for PC and Mac that enables users to route audio and configure devices on a Dante network. In addition, Dante Controller provides essential device status information and real-time network monitoring, including device-level latency and clock stability stats, multicast bandwidth usage, and customised event logging.
