NEC releases range of installation projectors

The PX Series is said to be the first to use extension modules based on the Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) and suitable for educational environments and critical signage applications or events.

Said to combine ultra-high brightness, image precision and reliability, PX Series heavy-duty projectors are based on DMD DLP chip technology. The flagship range boasts up to WUXGA resolution, 2100:1 contrast ration, 7,000-8,000 ANSI lumen brightness (dependent on the model) and 10-bit HQV colour processing.

Flexibility in signage applications is offered through support for the built-in STv2 single-board computer utilising Intel’s OPS, with HD-SDI for professional applications to follow soon. In addition to DisplayPort support, all projectors feature a range of display input options – including HDMI, S-video, RGB and RCA connectors – and include NEC’s Projector Viewer function which allow users to show PowerPoint and PDF files, images or movies via the network (without any need for a presentation PC) or directly from a USB memory stick.

PX Series projectors are shipped without a lens, giving customers the option to select the model best suited to their needs.
