NEC launches 10 “jaw-dropping” multi-industry video wall displays

New models targeted at retail, DooH, leisure, transportation, control rooms, signage and many more

NEC Display Solutions Europe today announces the launch of a range of new video wall displays for a wide range of industries and applications.

The new NEC UN Series has been engineered to meet this multi-industry demand. The new video walls are available in 10 different models, allowing for organisations to find the most suitable model to match their specific needs.

Every video wall features NEC’s integrated SpectraView engine, which enables users to make fine adjustments to picture quality to match individual demands and provides homogenous colour reproduction across each display and the entire wall. SpectraView™ also, according to NEC, makes it faster and simpler to install, ensuring system integrators benefit from lower costs and quicker set-up.

The UN Series also provides “best-in-class” readability, even in bright conditions, with up to 700cd/m brightness and an advanced anti-haze filter that eliminates reflections. Meanwhile, a minimal inactive screen area eliminates distortion between individual screens.

Each model has been specifically designed to meet a range of user priorities, ranging from low lifetime costs for long-term, mission-critical applications, to the most vivid colour reproduction for uses such as advertising and entertainment.

“Organisations across a huge range of industries understand the power of video walls to provide stunning, immersive visual experiences with a real ‘wow factor’,” said Martin Lienau, product manager large format displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “From digital advertising that enable jaw-dropping product videos in high definition, to passenger or visitor information screens, to industrial applications such as control screens, the NEC UN Series provides the perfect video wall for every need.”

“Whatever the industry, businesses want displays that are simple to manage, affordable to run, and support future-ready media playback. NEC’s new series of video walls feature smart integration for a range of media sources through one of our OPS Slot-in PCs, Raspberry Pi compute modules or signal interfaces for content feed and computing.

“With the UN Series, businesses across a huge range of industries can look forward to a bright and colourful future where they can engage their audiences with the most compelling video content for years to come,” concluded Lienau.

The first two models in the new UN Series video wall display range, UN462A and UN462VA, will be available from the beginning of February, and will soon make their public debut alongside two further displays – UN492S and UN552S – at ISE 2019, which takes place from 5 – 8 February at RAI Amsterdam.
