Manchester United fans guaranteed a big display when they face rivals Manchester City

Two 'mega' outdoor displays to be installed outside Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium, visible to 75,000 fans each game and 52,000 cars daily

Two brand new full motion 6x4m digital out of home displays are to be installed outside Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium at the end of this month.

The two screens, which has visibility for up to 500 metres, features bespoke LED technology from one of Europe’s leading visual communication experts, Concept Group, and sit on the north and south facades of Hotel Football, positioned beside the stadium.

Liverpool based advertising firm OPEN Media is responsible for the site, which will be seen by 52,000 motorists every day, as well as 75,000 plus football fans on match days.

The site will go live on the 28th of October 2018, making its match day debut when United play rivals Manchester City on November 11.

The location has the ability to advertise to mass audiences spanning a wide range of demographics, recognised by JD Sports who have already committed as a long-term partner for the season.

“This new partnership with GG Hospitality (owners of Hotel Football) is one we’re very excited about,” said Mike Smith, Managing Director at OPEN Media. “Both companies have huge growth ambition so I see the relationship working very well.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team who have worked tremendously hard during the continual growth of OPEN Media. This is an extremely exciting time for us, not only are we expanding into a new city, but this launch marks the beginning of our national roll out. Our goal is to have sites in the UK’s top seven cities by 2020, and we have some exciting projects in the pipeline to enable us to achieve this.’
