Lightware releases 25G Hybrid Cloud matrix router

Lightware's new matrix switcher incorporates a Cloud feature and supports eight media layers.

Lightware has lauched its latest digital matrix switcher, transmitter and receiver complete with a 25G signal management system. The ‘complete signal architecture’ also acts as a Cloud – supportive of eight media layers that are all independent and can be switched and extended separately. Eight media layers, video, audio, Ethernet, USB KVM, USB 2.0, IR, Rs-232 and CEC channels can all be transmitted over a single fibre or Cat5 cable. The 25G hybrid system has both 160 inputs and outputs, and a total throughput of 4TB per second. It also offers 25Gbps data rate switching for transporting next-generation video-signals, such as HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2. Additionally each video port is equipped with a separate audio input and output connector forming a 320 x 320 S/P/DIF crosspoint switch. It manages stereo and multichannel audio as well as high bitrate formats like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Optional multichannel to stereo downmixing is available, and futureproofing is said to be assured, as the platform is ready for all video and audio standards, including 4K resolution and stereo 3D formats. www.lightware.eu
