Following the launch of the VHD 5.0 at Prolight + Sound, KV2 will unveil the ultra compact two-way 5in ESD 5 at Plasa Focus, Leeds 12-13 May.
The latest addition to the company’s passive ESD range has been developed in conjunction with sound designers working globally within the theatre industry. It was initially designed as a high quality delay unit for theatre applications where high quality audio is crucial but also sight lines.
Other applications include use as a discreet sound reinforcement product for entertainment venues, houses of worship, and boardrooms and it can be used with KV2 Audio’s ESD subwoofers to create an ultra-compact portable PA System.
The use of a conventional compression driver rather than a soft dome tweeter ensures that the ESD 5 maintains consistent performance throughout venues when augmenting existing KV2 systems or as a high quality addition to other systems.
Like all ESD loudspeakers the ESD 5 features a passive delay and crossover network that delivers balanced and phase coherent output without the need for external processing or bi-amping. The ESD 5 can be used with KV2 Audio’s optimised ESP range of amplifiers or any third party amplification.
KV2 Audio also has a demo facility for the show in the Arthur Room of the Holiday Inn Express.
