ISE 2020: Optoma to reveal additions to ‘QUAD’ LED display series

At ISE 2020, Optoma will present its expanded range of ‘QUAD’ all-in-one LED display solutions, interactive flat panels (IFPDs), innovative real-life projection applications, and professional and consumer 4K UHD projectors.

Thierry Millet, managing director of Optoma EMEA, said: “ISE is Optoma’s most important platform to showcase the latest developments in display technology to our customers and partners. We are excited to officially launch our latest addition to the QUAD LED display series (FHDQ163) and demonstrate our unique LED display, projection and IFPD solutions.”

New ‘QUADZilla’ all-in-one LED display

Making its debut, Optoma will reveal the FHDQ163 (QUADZilla) from its QUAD series. The new Full HD 1080p LED display has a larger screen size of 3.6 x 2.025m, but still offers the same all-in-one solution for a quick and easy out-of-the-box installation.

The QUAD series 4-in-1 SMD pixel allows for a smoother screen surface, wide viewing angle and more robust design. Boasting a high brightness of 600 nits, the QUAD series is suitable for any indoor retail or corporate application. Thanks to an ECO friendly <0.5W standby mode that conforms with ErP regulations, power consumption is reduced, which saves on energy costs.

Other key demonstrations on the Optoma stand this year include:

FHDQ130 and QUADShow – complete custom solution for the indoor rental market
Optoma will demonstrate the QUADShow, an all-in-one motorised lift and transport system for mobile use of the award-winning Optoma FHDQ130 – 130in full HD 1080p LED display with a 1.5mm pixel pitch.

The QUADShow ensures complete protection of the FHDQ130 within the easily movable flight case, which fits through standard sized doorways. Its plug and play design means it can be ready for any event in just minutes. The built-in display stand features height adjustment, and the FHDQ130 can be positioned in landscape or portrait mode.

Interactive flat panel displays (IFPDs) – premium collaborative learning
Optoma will be combining the 130in QUAD LED display (FHDQ130) with an IFPD – to display and encourage collaboration with interactive content the entire audience can see.

Boasting 4K UHD resolution and a 20-point touch-enabled display, Optoma’s multi-touch interactive flat panels bring lessons and idea sharing to life in education and corporate settings.

Available in 65in, 75in and 86in sizes and featuring anti-glare glass, a blue light filter and a wide viewing angle, they produce no hazardous UV light and emit minimal blue light while providing crisp and vivid visuals to every seat in the room.

Immersive hologram experience – in partnership with Roncalli Circus content creators
Optoma has partnered with blueBOX, so visitors to the stand can experience the world-famous holographic ‘Roncalli Circus’ for themselves. Featuring the DuraCore laser 4K UHD 10,000-lumen ZK1050 projector, Optoma and blueBox will be re-creating some of the 3D holographic animals from the magical circus that has thrilled and inspired audiences in Germany, and across the globe, with the powerful message on the importance of supporting animal welfare.

ZK1050 – flagship DuraCore 4K UHD laser projector

Featuring stacked ZK1050 4K UHD projectors along with the Optoma Nano, powered by VIOSO, visitors can observe a three-metre image. These high brightness 10,000 lumen projectors featuring MCL technology (Multi Colour Laser) are part of the DuraCore range, which combines longer-lifetime light source and an independent IP6X rated dust certification.

ZU860 – high brightness dual stack

For the first time, Optoma will show it’s ZU860 WUXGA DuraCore laser projector in a dual stack along with the Optoma Nano, powered by VIOSO. This high brightness 8,500-lumen projector features longer-lifetime light source along with dust resistant IP5X certification for total reliability.

Innovative HeavyM mapping solution

Optoma has partnered with HeavyM to expose the possibilities provided with projection mapping. This unique solution will show the ease of use of the intuitive HeavyM software coupled with three Optoma DuraCore laser 1080p projectors – two ZH500UST ultra short throw models and a ZH406ST short throw model.

Home entertainment and gaming

Optoma will demonstrate two 4K UHD home entertainment projectors at ISE 2020 to include a brand-new gaming model, the UHD42 and its award-winning UHZ65UST laser cinema model.

UHD42 – Optoma, in collaboration with Scan Computers and Nvidia, will demonstrate the latest addition to its 4K UHD home entertainment projector range. The new model is the world’s first 240Hz gaming projector – featuring 1080p 240Hz ultra-smooth motion.

Powered by Scan 3XS Systems, visitors to the stand will be among the first to experience 240Hz esports style gameplay on the big screen. Higher frames per second coupled with a compatible display are proven to improve players’ reaction speed and aim, leading to better competitive performance. Two hugely popular competitive games have been selected for the demonstration: Fortnite and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, both running at over 240fps on the mighty 3XS Vengeance Fluid Ti RTX gaming PC, featuring NVIDIA’s RTX 2080 Ti graphics card.

UHZ65UST – Created for home cinema enthusiasts, the multi-award winning UHZ65UST 4K UHD ultra short throw projector provides ground-breaking laser cinema technology, smart features such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control and built-in audio.
