ISE 2017: Sony reveals seven new E-series projectors

Sony has announced seven new E-series models, with a choice of XGA and WXGA resolutions for the education and corporate markets.

The new projectors are suited to a wide range of B2B applications from mid-sized classrooms to meeting rooms, and where popular display solutions prove unsuitable due to budget constraints and/or where larger image size is needed for the environment.

The new models feature a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and Sony´s 3LCD BrightEra technology to deliver high image quality and natural, vivid colour reproduction. The projectors all have a compact design and an array of functions, such as low fan noise, wireless connectivity and auto power on, to ensure smooth, quiet and reliable ease of use.

The new E-series includes the following models: VPL-EW578, VPL-EW575, VPL-EW455, VPL-EW435, VPL-EX575, VPL-EX455, VPL-EX435

The Sony range of portable projectors are lightweight, durable, easy-to-use and reliable, combining outstanding performance with low total cost of ownership. From delivering professional presentations on the move to engaging a room full of people, each projector is designed to meet the specific use cases of particular applications.

The new E-series models expand customers’ connectivity options with dual HDMI ports for laptops, Miracast and other devices which can playback internet video contents and an IP Control function to easily operate multiple projectors in one room at the same time, making them ideal for shared spaces. The wireless option enables presenters to share content directly from laptops and the VPL-EW578 even comes with an HDBaseT connection – the smallest chassis projector in the market to include this connectivity feature.

“Despite the increased uptake of displays in recent years and a changing market, B2B projectors still remain in high demand,” said Robert Meakin, European product manager, Sony Professional Solutions Europe. “The continued evolution of our popular E Series is Sony’s commitment to our partners to provide a full featured projector line up. The new E500 & E400 series bring to the market a robust and cost effective range that is easy-to-use and reliable while offering good picture quality for mid-sized classrooms and meeting room environments,” he added.

The VPL-EX575, VPL-EX455 and VPL-EX435 will be available from April, while the VPL-EW578, VPL-EW575, VPL-EW455 and VPL-EW435 will be available from May.
