ISE 2013: WolfVision 3D visualiser in full flight

The ceiling mountable VZ-C3D delivers realtime 'live' HD 3D images that can be viewed with or without glasses on any 3-D enabled display screen.

High-end visualiser manufacturer WolfVision is demonstrating the VZ-C3D, its new 3D stereoscopic ‘live’ presentation system.

The ceiling mounted VZ-C3D incorporates two wide-angle zoom lenses and an onboard stereoscopic mixer that deliver realtime ‘live’ high definition 3D images that can be viewed with or without glasses on any 3D-enabled display screen. Optical zoom of 12x ensures that objects of any size can be picked up quickly and easily, while the synchronised lightfield which is projected down onto the working surface is intended to make it easy to find the perfect positioning for display materials.

A framerate of 30fps delivers smoothness of motion, and 3D images are output via HDMI in native 1080p HD format. Adjustable Depth Control allows a presenter to choose exactly how far the 3D image appears to be ‘in front of’ or ‘behind’ the surface of the display screen, whilst the VZ-C3D can also be switched to output standard 2D images if required.

Applications for the new solution include medicine and telemedicine, product design and engineering, science and education, videoconferencing and telepresence.
