Inter-M to use Dante networking technology

South Korea’s largest PA and installed sound manufacturer, Inter-M, has announced that it will produce a line of products featuring Dante – Audinate’s patented media networking technology.

South Korea’s largest PA and installed sound manufacturer, Inter-M, has announced that it will produce a line of products featuring Dante – Audinate’s patented media networking technology.

Audinate is the creator of Dante, an audio networking solution built using standards based on IP over Ethernet that is now enjoying increasingly widespread adoption across pro-audio.

Inter-M plans to use Dante end-to-end throughout its systems, including Dante-enabled paging microphones, mixers and distribution units, and powered speakers.

Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate, commented: “Inter-M is a great brand in Korea and is expanding rapidly around the world. Inter-M has an aggressive plan to connect their wide variety of products into an integrated system using Dante.”

Wonho Lee, director of R&D at Inter-M, added: “We believe having Dante in our systems gives us a definite competitive advantage. We selected Dante because it provides us with an audio over IP solution today, and Audinate is the only company that can offer a viable transition path to AVB for the future.”
