Aimed squarely at the rapidly growing market for collaboration solutions, Intel Unite combines an Intel Core vPro processor-based mini PC with the company’s software. It is designed to deliver virtually seamless collaboration from any location; fast, simple meeting starts; and to use existing wireless networks within the business to connect PCs to existing displays, projectors or interactive whiteboards.
Peer-to-peer sharing capabilities allow users to collaborate outside the meeting room, and each can interact with the content and annotate the image in real time, and quickly and easily share files.
With the Intel Unite solution, meeting organisers share a unique, rotating PIN with users to allow them to join a session quickly, with security in mind. The PIN helps to identify proximity and owner, so organisers can determine who they will or won’t allow onto their corporate network. The data is encrypted with 256-bit Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) ensuring that it remains in the conference network: the solution stays within the virtual walls of the business and is not dependent on additional vendor solutions.
Making the Intel Unite solution easy to deploy in corporate environments is key to ease of use, the company says, not only by end users but also by IT departments. Intel Unite software is designed to slot into existing IT client deployment models and client software distribution methods, offering convenience to IT from a deployment and management standpoint.
