The first category in which this year’s InstallAwards were presented was Education (sponsored by Casio projectors). Two companies were honoured.
John Pellowe of Meyer Sound accepted the Teamwork Award for the company’s part in the installation at the Kanbar Forum at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, US. To implement the immersive sound system, systems integrator BBI Engineering worked in close consultation with Meyer Sound’s Constellation team on the design particulars.
CDEC picked up the Star Product Award thanks to its selection of Sahara Presentation Systems’ Clevertab touchscreens at the Phoenix Academy in Telford, UK. The system allows teachers to connect to the board in their next classroom as they move around the school.
Not long after stepping down from the stage, CDEC employees were on their feet again to collect the Best Project Award – and rightly so, for the work they did at the Phoenix Academy, which left the educational facility with a state-of-the-art AV system.
